8.8 Earthquake Hits Santiago, Chile

The earthquake epicenter was offshore, in Maule, south of Santiago. minor tsunami waves have hit Hawaii, LA and New Zealand.

Here's a livestream of Chilean coverage of the earthquake that I watched for a while this morning.

My close friends were able to email back and they report being terrified, but fine.

Here is information on how you can help the Chilean Earthquake relief effort, including a Person Finder, that Google set up to help find people in Chile. I plugged in a couple names and it didn't find them, but it may work for others.
