Russ Feingold Never Went to Chile

President Barack Obama just released CIA memos detailing how "War on Terror" detainees were tortured under former President George W Bush. Among those disappointed by this decision was Ronald Reagan's speech writer-now-teevee-pundit Peggy Noonan. Quotes the Huffington Post:
"Some things in life need to be mysterious," Noonan said on Sunday about the release of the torture memos. "Sometimes you need to just keep walking."
Romantic.

To be applauded is Senator Russ Feingold, who lashed out against Noonan. He said he'd "Never Heard Anything Quite As Disturbing".

Well, I have. I spent over two years in Chile.

Chileno, there's been many times when I've found myself wondering where you disappeared to, thinking that the world still needs to hear your critical voice... Now it sounds like you've left Chile and, tho I may be risking your wrath, I can't help but ask for some explanation as to what the hell is going on...
