Find Dr. Death in Chile, a wonderful country...for Nazis.

Ooops - there you go again, Will ... certain to put some noses out of joint. Much of the world has various "Dr. Deaths" lurking around - most of them in their 80's & 90's. Canada certainly still digs up a few, as does the US:-

Certainly, places like Colonia Dignidad in the Pinochet days and other havens for people like Rauff (Allen Dulles also helped that bastard) and Heim need to be fully exposed. Even moreso in Argentina and a few other places I can think of. But, I wouldn't claim that they were 'wonderful countries for Nazis'.

In addition to Rauff it's also worth pointing out the documented similarities between Nazi philosophy and Chilean military personnel, the Principe head of the National Stadium for one. It's why Alvaro Henriquez of Chile's biggest rock band, Los Tres, wore a vintage gestapo uniform with the Chile flag pinned to it at the 2007 Vina del Mar Festival. Of course, nobody really noticed because the producers of the Catholic-owned TV channel were busy censoring the pro-choice message of their video installation (directed by my friend Niles).

And check out this video clip I filmed on the day that Pinochet died. It's gotten over 20,000 views on YouTube, it's a bunch of neo-nazis giving Pinochet the Hitler salute for Christ's sake!

So in Chile you can censor a pro morning after pill message that could positively change the course of thousands of women's lives but these kids won't get arrested for making a Nazi salute for which they'd be locked up in most of Europe?

At 9:22 PM, Anonymous said...: Let's drop the pc talk, everyone knows that after the war many of those Nazis found refuge in the already established German enclaves of Southern Chile and Argentina. It made perfect sense for them to hide within those Aryan colonies, since one the climate was similar, and they were with people of similar background.
